Our Westminster MP, Rachel Blake, expressed her joy at our initiative to engage the residents of Churchill Gardens in musical activities and offer complimentary food. Her kind and supportive words truly uplifted us and reinforced the importance of community connection during this endeavor. We are grateful for her encouragement. James Cockram, the esteemed agent at the Westminster Conservative Association, paid us a delightful visit and was genuinely impressed by our vibrant setup that offers the residents of Pimlico a wonderful opportunity to explore musical hobbies or further develop their singing talents. The fact that this is completely free of charge and includes light refreshments adds to the charm of our initiative.

Additionally, he was captivated by the splendid facilities available at the Churchill Gardens Residential Association. James’s warm wishes and encouragement truly meant the world to all of us and inspired us to continue our efforts in bringing music to our community! (L-R) Harminder, Heena, George, Navtam and James)

Christina, the Chairperson of the Churchill Gardens Residents Association (CGRA), graciously took the time to visit us and witness our endeavor to unite the Pimlico communities through the power of music and food. Her uplifting words and unwavering support truly inspired us all. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to CGRA for generously providing us with the venue located just moments from our homes. The Churchill Gardens Estate is a vibrant tapestry woven from diverse nationalities and faiths. While there may be many things that divide us, it is music and food that bring us together. Thank you, Christina, for believing in our vision and for your invaluable support! (L-R) Harminder, Navtam, Irine, Jay Jay, Christina, George and Hayfa.

Irene, a treasured family friend with a wealth of experience in both national and international corporate management, graciously joined us at Pimlico Open Mic on June 10th. She spoke warmly of her visit, describing it as a “very enjoyable and relaxing time,” and she relished the opportunity to connect with the members of our group, sharing her insights and experiences with us.

As the evening unfolded, Irene delighted us by joining in a spirited rendition of the beloved 1971 classic by The New Seekers, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing in Perfect Harmony.” Her guidance and words of wisdom resonated deeply, providing invaluable direction that will inspire our group on its path to success. To top it all off, she savored Harminder’s exquisite pasta and samosas, accompanied by a refreshing salad, making for an unforgettable evening.
